Lightweight construction, azimuth and elevation bearings for slewing mounts
Lightweight or heavy-duty - wire race bearings for all applications.
Franke wire race bearings are based on a special principle. The rolling elements do not move directly on the bearing shells but on tough raceways that are inserted into the bearing housing. This gives you completely new possibilities for the design and choice of materials for your application. Franke wire race bearings can be customised in many ways. For high loads even with hardened wire rings.
Possibilities
instead of specifications
Franke wire race bearings can be used in a wide variety of constructions. The demands on the surrounding structure are low, as it is not directly exposed to the loads. The main load is borne by the wire race bearing. This means that you are virtually free to determine the ideal shape and material for your further construction.
Wire race bearings for slewing ring mounts
Franke bearings for slewing ring mounts can be divided into two main categories:
1. Lightweight bearings for slewing ring mounts
With customer-specific toothing, made of steel or hard-anodised aluminium materials, extremely resistant to shock and vibration, with low rotational resistance and high centre clearance. Ideally suited for integration into vehicle bodywork or for mounting on lightweight, mobile units.
Lightweight materials are used for the surrounding construction, for example aluminium, magnesium or carbon GRP).
2. Azimuth and elevation bearings for heavy-duty stations
Here, heavy-duty rolling bearings and slewing rings are used, dynamic, specifically toothed, made of steel or high-strength aluminium materials, with sealing against environmental influences. These highly specialised bearings can be found on heavy mounts and tracked vehicles, as well as in stationary applications or on submarines.
