Procedure of the dual study
In a dual study, you switch between the university and the company every three months. During the theoretical phases, lectures and seminars take place at the Cooperative State University in Heidenheim. During the practical phase, you will work in various departments at Franke and actively participate in exciting projects. During your study, you will receive a monthly salary - even during your theoretical phases. This means you are financially independent and can concentrate fully on your study. You have vacation days during the practical phases.
During the practical phases at Franke, you will get to know the company's processes and work on interdisciplinary projects. You will deal in detail with the development of digital business models and with change management. You will also be involved in commercial topics.
Emphasis of the study: business administration, economics, law, statistics, business mathematics, IT basics, IT law, IT security, communication systems, information systems, Data Science, Data Analytics
Duration of study: 6 semesters (3 years)

- General university entrance qualification or subject-related university entrance qualification corresponding to the course of study

- Interest in business processes, digitalization and IT
- Structured working method, problem-solving ability and own initiative
During your dual study at Franke, you will learn everything about development, design, production and testing of machines, devices and plants. In addition a basic metal training, you will have the opportunity to get to know the company in detail and to work on interdisciplinary projects. You will mainly work in the design and development department.
Emphasis of the study: mathematics, technical mechanics, strength of materials, production, design, thermodynamics, electrical engineering, technical physics, computer science, CAD/CAM, business topics
Duration of study: 6 semesters (3 years)
