Academy: Attracting, developing and retaining talent

In today's fast-paced and dynamic world, companies face the challenge of attracting, developing and retaining talented employees in order to compete successfully. But simply finding and attracting talents is not enough to ensure long-term success. Companies need to continuously support their employees and offer them opportunities to develop in order to keep up with the demands of a constantly changing world of work.

At Franke GmbH, lifelong learning is therefore the core of a progressive corporate culture. Franke recognises the importance of the continuous development of its employees and has therefore implemented a variety of actions to promote lifelong learning.

Learning Management System LMS

In order to provide employees with access to a wide range of learning opportunities, Franke GmbH has an internal learning platform (Learning Management System LMS). This LMS allows employees to access training, e-learning modules and resources, for example a competence matrix. These assist them in expanding their skills and keeping their knowledge up to date. The learning content is diverse and ranges from technical skills to leadership and communication training.

In addition, Franke GmbH has established a mentoring programme in which experienced employees pass on their expertise and experience to new colleagues. This exchange of knowledge and best practices enables employees to learn from one another and support each other. Another important component is the development of managers. To this end, Franke GmbH is constantly developing new training concepts on the topics of leadership and error culture as well as agile leadership. In autumn last year, all managers were sent on a "journey" (@Franke Manager Journey). The aim of this journey was for the managers to act as role models for the vision statement.

Leadership culture

Franke GmbH maintains a transparent management culture. In a 360-degree feedback, each employee has the opportunity to evaluate his or her manager in various categories.

Franke GmbH also encourages its employees to participate in external training programmes, retreats and workshops. The company also offers financial support and flexible working hours to ensure that employees have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills beyond the boundaries of the company.

Another feature of lifelong learning at Franke GmbH is the regular holding of internal training courses and impulse lectures. These informal learning events enable employees to share their expertise, discuss new trends and jointly develop innovative approaches to solutions. With the help of in-house trade fairs, employees are introduced to software tools that are used at Franke.

So-called "shoulder views" give employees at Franke the opportunity to get a taste of other departments for a day and to look over someone else's shoulder.

The internal training programme shows which internal training courses can be carried out at Franke. With the help of a fact sheet, the necessary information can be accessed.
