Application example Innovative solar plant

Requirements
Franke stainless steel linear guides are used to compensate for thermal expansion in innovative solar systems consisting of a large plastic tube. The linear guides offer the necessary precision and reliability under demanding conditions. The stainless steel linear guides are designed for a temperature range of up to 60°C and can theoretically withstand temperatures of up to +100°C. This guarantees their functionality even at high temperatures, which can be caused by solar radiation in the solar system. The linear guides are designed for loads of up to 450 N and a bending moment (Mx) of 54 Nm. These properties ensure stability and durability, even under the mechanical demands caused by the thermal expansion of the plastic hose. Thanks to their stainless steel design, the linear guides are corrosion-resistant, making them ideal for use in outdoor applications where they have to withstand the effects of weather and other environmental conditions. The guides are characterised by extremely low displacement resistance and minimal breakaway torque, which enables precise balancing movement of the plastic hose and maximises the efficiency of the solar system. The linear guides offer a high moment load capacity, which makes them resistant to the forces that occur in the application.
