Application example for clean room handling
4 levels of a vertical storage are to be coupled in the clean room (50 N, +20 to +25°C) using linear guides.
For this purpose, the linear guide must be suitable for use in a clean room, should have a special drilling pattern for the connecting construction and should ensure smooth transitions of the cassettes from one rail to the next at the coupling points. The overall length tolerance of the double rails (coupled) must not exceed 0.5 mm.
Solution
Franke linear guide type FDA25K in a special design without wipers and with special rollers for a perfect rail transition. Franke FDA-type guides are clean room-certified (Fraunhofer Institute) and individually adjustable. The FDA25 is suitable for use in clean rooms with air cleanliness class 'Class 1000' at movement speeds typical of clean rooms. This suitability is achieved in all load cases.
